Strawberry Mousse

Strawberry mousse is a light and fluffy dessert that captures the sweetness of fresh strawberries. It’s creamy yet airy, making it a delightful treat for any occasion. This dessert is simple to whip up and perfect for impressing guests or enjoying a sweet moment at home.
Ingredients
- 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon gelatin powder
- 3 tablespoons cold water
Instructions
- Prepare Strawberries: In a bowl, combine the sliced strawberries, sugar, and lemon juice. Let them sit for about 15 minutes to release their juices.
- Blend: After the strawberries have macerated, blend them until smooth. If you prefer some texture, reserve a few slices for garnish.
- Whip Cream: In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream and vanilla extract until soft peaks form.
- Dissolve Gelatin: In a small bowl, sprinkle the gelatin over cold water and let it sit for a few minutes. Then, heat it gently until dissolved.
- Combine: Fold the strawberry puree into the whipped cream gently, then add the dissolved gelatin, mixing until well combined.
- Chill: Spoon the mousse into serving cups and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until set. Serve chilled, garnished with reserved strawberry slices and mint leaves if desired.
