Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cut into cubes
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 tablespoon ice water
  • 2 cups mixed berries (strawberries, blackberries, etc.)
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Fresh blueberriesFresh raspberriesPowdered sugar, for dusting

Instructions:

  1. Follow Steps 1-3 from the previous recipe to make the tart dough and chill it.
  2. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  3. Roll out the dough to fit a 9-inch tart pan. Press the dough into the pan and trim any excess.
  4. In a bowl, combine the mixed berries, granulated sugar, cornstarch, lemon zest, and lemon juice. Allow the mixture to sit for 10 minutes.
  5. Pour the berry filling into the prepared tart shell.
  6. Arrange fresh blueberries and raspberries on top of the filling in a decorative pattern.
  7. Bake the tart in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
  8. Let the tart cool before serving. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
