Caprese Bruschetta Recipe with Balsamic Glaze
Tasty appetizer made with fresh ingredients and a sweet balsamic glaze. Perfect way to start off a dinner party.
Servings: 16 pieces
- 1/2 cup tomatoes chopped
- 1/2 cup red onion chopped
- 1/2 cup fresh mozzarella chopped
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1 tsp basil chopped
- 2 French bread baguette cut in 1/2in slices
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- basil pesto
Chop the tomatoes, red onion, and fresh mozzarella into 1/4in pieces.
Mince the garlic. We like to use the ready squeeze garlic.
Add the tomatoes, red onion, mozzarella, garlic, basil, salt, pepper and olive oil into a small bowl. Mix thoroughly.
Cut French Bread into 1/2 in slices. set aside
Brush each bread slice with basil pesto.
Spoon a small amount of the vegetable topping onto each slice
Drizzle the Balsamic glaze onto each piece and serve.
