Not a bad Stop & Shop. Small and clean. However, the self checkouts are horrendous little machines. They freak out if an item light as a feather (like braces wax) or heavy as heck (like cat litter) are placed in the bagged area. For lighter items, it thinks you're stealing because it doesn't register items under a half a pound. For heavier items, it demands you place them in the bagged area only for it to say it's over the weight limit, and then back to place the item in the bagging area.My beef is with the machines. The employees are so few in number and so busy, three of us customers got stuck waiting for an employee to punch into the self checkouts and end their meltdowns. The employees look just as annoyed with the machines as the customers.Fix your self checkouts, Stop & Shop. Even Walmarts checkout machines are chiller than yours.

Better supermarket option in my opinion. Better selection and better pricing
Very good quality products and efficient service
They never have more than 2 cashiers on, so most people use the self check out. I am fine with this because I like my groceries packed a certain way. What I'm not fine with is that after every other item scanned the system beeping at me to either put the item in the bagging area or remove it. Then, someone has to come over and clear it every time. On top of that, most produce has a barcode on it that the system doesn't recognize, so if you put it on the scale before entering the code, it says "please wait for assistance". It took me almost as long to checkout as it did to shop. I was ready to just leave my carriage there, 3/4 checked out and head over to Aldi, which is where I usually shop'now I remember why.
