No wonder why it's so busy. This is literally the BEST large-scale supermarket I've ever been to! Their fresh food (fresh baked bread, homemade soup, fresh squeezed orange juice, etc) are amazing!!! Even though the place is always busy, you never wait long at the cashier (they must have 20 lanes open). Their fresh-baked pies are also really good. This place make me gain some weight 😉 I highly recommend (it's MUCH nice than the market basket 1/2 mile away)

Pros:Good pricesBetter produce than S&S or Shaw'sThe aisles are wider than the Revere MBMany checkout lanes meaning usually not more than 3 or 4 people ahead of you at peak.Enormous parking lotCons:ChelseaTry to find a bag of grapes that hasn't had someone's hand in themAisles are constantly being restocked which means blocked. It's like Massachusetts perpetual road construction at peak rush hour.I'd rather smash my head into the pavement than come here the day before any holiday. There is a horrifying number of people here at any given time. 8 AM on a Saturday? 10AM on a Tuesday? Nope. Every aisle will be clogged with people slowly contemplating which shade of bean to buy. It's exhausting dodging people to try to get out in under an hour.Did I mention the people? I don't think I was clear enough how packed this place gets. It's a big metal building. You're not going to get any data in the meat section when you're trying to find a suitable replacement for the thing they don't have.

I am thinking of bringing visitors from other countries to this place, just to brag about the magnificent bounty we enjoy in the US. What a gigantic market basket. There are 80 feet dedicated to different kinds of oranges! This is the same as any other market basket, but bigger. There are 38 checkout lines! The entire Winchester stop n shop, including its storage and losing dock, would easily fit inside the produce section of the Chelsea market basket! And situated only a block from the produce terminal, the produce department has everything.i suspect that if it's not at the Chelsea market basket, you can't find it in New England. Like every market basket, traffic is a bear and shopping is a contact sport, but this is still a winner..

Great store. Love the "fresh" meals they serve. The bakery has a lot of choices. Always well stocked. Very clean. A lot of the employees do not speak English however, which can be a downside if you need help in locating a product.

I love Market Basket stores, this one is pretty good. Assortment of goods is very good. Produce, dairy, meat, fish and ethnic foods? You can't ask for better. Place is clean, well lit, orderly, they have an in store cafe and the public restrooms are pretty good. But it's the staff that is a mixed bag at this store; many are extremely friendly and helpful, but then there's this weird smattering of slackers and thug dudes. Yeah I know it's Chelsea, but still, can't you leave your attitude at the door when you're on the clock?
