Checked out at self checks. Cashier too busy talking with two other workers. All three cell phones in hand. Register kept messing up. Cashier pretended to fix. Well yet again. She comes second time still not fixed. Third time I asked for mgr when she came. She did not get him. She thought was funny. It was her job to watch registers to correct them. Obviously shooting the breeze with coworkers more important. Shame nowadays.

Kids that don't know what they're doing or don't care, or both, That's who's running the store apparently. the kid in the seafood dept was "training" and didn't have a clue what he was doing, said everyone else had gone home early and left him there. my first choice fish had been cut into such tiny pieces, it would take 3-4 to feed one person, who cut those?? then when I chose my second pick, he didn't know how to clean a fish...I went to the front office and asked the teenager there for a manager or someone that could help out, he didn't know where they were. the kid then called for someone to come up, 5 minutes nobody came, he called a second time, five minutes, still nobody. walked out with nothing.I gave one star because this is just the most recent in so so so many incidents like this over the years. it may not be completely fair since the issues are spread over four different locations but Mills River has been one of the worst. manager refusing to take back spoiled beer (home office said they should have accepted it back without question), yellowed and crusty deli salads (almost always), moldy bread (and packaged cheese), raw chicken and turkey tasting so heavily of plastic, lack of healthy looking produce, lack of healthy organic food choices, and on and on. I stopped buying most of my groceries from Ingles a couple of years ago and now only go in for very few things. seriously, a single avocado (non organic) for $2.50 when the highest price anywhere else is about $1??anyway, you've pushed me to other companies with your lack of so many things, including customer service, I've just about had it with Ingles. I would only return for an absolute emergency item, if I couldn't get it anywhere else first.

Ingles has a wide variety of foods and sales prices that are competitive, yet regular prices on items tend to cost more than competitors.I've had multiple experiences in the take-out food line that have been unpleasant due to workers that are slow and/or unfriendly. The same can be said about the pharmacy: several of the employees have acted as though I inconvenienced them with my need for their assistance. After being a regular customer of these services for many years, I find it disheartening that I have come to expect this type of treatment. I'm actually (pleasantly) surprised when this is not the case.

They built this store only a couple years ago only to disappoint customers like me. They only have one bathroom for everyone for hundreds of people that come here. If you want to pay cash you cannot pay cash at the self-checkouts they won't take cash here. I will no longer shop at any Ingles markets whatsoever they're retarded something definitely wrong with the owner of this company. I would rather give my money to Whole Foods since Ingles is the same exact price as Whole Foods and they have self checkouts that take cash definitely something wrong with this corporation no thank you

Flagship store. You can find most any grocery item you're looking for here.Nice wide aisles, helpful staff, very clean throughout. All reasons why I prefer this store to the Brevard location. Absolutely worth the visit and the gas is usually 10 p/gal cheaper here, too!
