d2 found a lone star tick on Rosie yesterday and I ordered her some flea and tick medicine from Chewy.com. I paid for shipping and handling but the medicine was 1/2 price ($12.74) It was faster and easier to just order on line.

There's a rebate of a $5 pre-paid GC from Pfizer for the purchase of $25+ in one purchase of some of their products. It's found at itsyourwellnessownit.com

Publix: Bought (2) Thermacare for $6.99 ea and (2) Advil 50ct for $6.99 ea for a total of $27.96. No sales tax is charged on many types of OTC in FL. Publix had a store coupon exp tomorrow for $5 off (2) Thermacare and $3 off (2) Advil. In addition, there were $2 peelies on the Thermacare exp 12/31/18 and I was able to print (2) $2 off Advil 40ct or larger. So, $16 in coupons off the total. Paid $11.96, get $5 back in a GC (it's one of those that you must use online, etc., not a physical that you can use in-store), and now I have a good supply of these things which do get used from time to time.

My offerings available on Savingstar do not have Thermacare, but, I will get $1 back on the Advil.

    Thanks for the heads-up, @jastwins!

Received an email today from Papa John's with some bonus points for a few days. Had enough for a medium 2-topping pizza FREE tonight. Good use of those soon-to-expire points.

Winn-Dixie: Vlasic pickles BOGO. They take Publix coupons and some other stores as competitor coupons. Got 2 jars of Vlasic sweet relish $1.99 and used (2) $1 Publix coupons for (2) free jars of Vlasic. Think I'll go back again before this ends on Tuesday. Also, Publix coupon, buy Sara Lee Artesano Bread and get a jar of Skippy free. Skippy is BOGO at WD this week and the SL bread is $2.50. Used a .55 coupon on bread and the Publix coupon to get loaf of bread and two jars of PNB for a total of $1.95. Bought (4) of the Maruchan Yakisoba or something like that for a total of $1. They are $1 ea, BOGO, and used a $1/3 coupon.

Winn-Dixie: Rach. Ray Nutrish cat food 6#, reg. $12.99, on sale for $9.99, used $4 MQ and $4 Publix Q for $1.99+ undetermined amount of tax because my $5 off $40 coupon made it less. I finally figured out the register receipt and I paid a total of $1.36 for the cat food. Now, if I could just find a rebate on it, I'd do my happy dance!

Today's free was topsoil from the dump. We went to drop off a pick up truck load of brush from our yard and the guy at the weigh station waved us on through at no charge. Yesterday, we brought back free topsoil too. You think you have so much until you spread it out, but it is a huge help. I see more trips to pick up more topsoil in the future.

Dollar General today. There are some really good prices this week, among them Lay's reg. $3.50 for $2. I redeemed $16.75 in coupons and had $17.23 OOP. Additionally, there was an $11 savings in the "sale prices." I don't really count that as I doubt I would have ever paid full price for those things, anyway.

There's some more great prices coming up 5/25-27 with a $5 off $25 to use. There's even a $2 digital coupon on a propane exchange...highly unusual.

One noteworthy item. Tetley iced tea blend family size bags 12 ct $1 and there's a $1 on any size blinkie exp 7/2/17. I had 2 coupons with me. Went back to Publix and raided the blinkie machine for a few more for Saturday's foray.

Publix: I stumbled upon a "close-out" of DeMett's Turtles king size candy bars (3 pieces in the pack) for 50c ea. Had a few $1/2 coupons IP. Used them all for free candy bars. Love those things! Tried to find coupons online again, not there. I guess I printed my limit.

Whole Earth Sweetener box 40ct, I think, 2/$3.49. Had (3) $2 coupons. MM of 76c. Thanks @jastwins for one of the coupons.

Wild Selections tuna, $2.69 per can, had (2) $2 IP coupons and (1) store coupon of $2.50/2. Bought 2, MM of $1.12.

Deli potato salad and macaroni salad, 32 oz., buy potato, get a macaroni free, then, there were $1 store coupons in flyer. Bought both for total of $2.99.

Few other good deals, some produce with no coupons. Total $40.14, after all coupons off, $10.20 OOP.

Winn-Dixie: Mrs. Butterworth, reg $3.29, BOGO. Had coupon of buy a Sara Lee pound cake ($3.50) get syrup free. With the BOGO, I got 2 syrups free and used a $1 Publix store coupon (accepted at this competitor) to get all 3 items for a total of $2.50.

Pillsbury baking mixes $1 ea, used a $1/2 for two boxes. Thanks @jastwins for the coupon.

Not so good at WD. Total bill $40.16 and after all coupons paid $26.32 OOP.

Dollar General: Had a total of $26.11 in grocery items and spent $11.36 OOP. Got 4 boxes of Tetley tea bags free, killed'em on Keebler cookies at approx 85c each pack, bought 4. Redeemed some KFR points for $1 off Keebler cookies coupons.

Unusual for DG, a digital coupon for $2 off a tank of propane. Got that for $18.

Could not find a single rebate on any of my apps! I think, though, that I have finally figured out how to submit KFR receipts. Maybe. Time will tell.

The manager of the store was, once again, running the whole show by himself this morning. He is such a lovely fellow and so much more pleasant when he has to run the register. I do not yet know how to inject "tone of voice" and "facial expression" in my writing here.

Maybe this: DWS. Dripping with sarcasm!

Today's free included a small cup of ice cream with a double scoop of the new chocolate flavor from the ice cream shop where the twins work. D1 and I hit some yard sales and I found some metal desk organizers for a dollar and note cards for $1. D1 was not happy with many of the yard sales we went to , but the last place we stopped was the goody pile at our town dump. Our dump has a section where you can drop off things in decent condition for anyone to take for free. You never know what you can find there and while I never have any luck, my co-workers have found some great things. It is all about the timing. D1 picked up a free book in great condition by an author she likes. After the goody pile, we saw a small antique shop that re-opened for the spring & summer and d1 found a Salvador Dali button and a pressed leaf writing journal, all for 4 bucks.

Today, I redeemed myself and paid .99 cents each for 4 packs of hotdogs, the same brand I bought for full price at the IGA ($6.99) a couple of weeks ago. Ball Park beef franks were on sale for $2.99 and D1 and I each bought 2 and used a $1 coupon on each one.
I looked at my meat coupons and found Premio sausage on clearance, Shady brook farms turkey cutlets on special and Perdue chicken was 40% off for a store sale. My total OOP for 4 packs of Perdue cutlets, legs and thighs, 1 turkey cutlet and 2 sausage packs was $12.97. i came to about $1.85 a pack for 7 packs of meat. I went to the courtesy desk to have them ring up my meat since the Perdue coupons never double and the Premio sausage were on markdown, so my coupons would not scan. As I was leaving the courtesy desk, I noticed Mambo sprouts booklets and helped myself to a few. :)

I did get some new Barilla quick cook pasta for free. They were on sale, 2/$3 and I had a .75 cent coupon for each. A 1 lb box of Uncle Ben's rice was .69 cents after double coupons. A new Uncle Ben's rice was $1.19 after double coupons. Two Snyders of Hanover pretzels and tortilla chips were $3 after sale and coupons. I also got one free Yoplait Whips yogurt and Lawrys marinade was .29 cents after sale and double .75 cents coupon. We used the marinade tonight on the London broil I bought for $1.99 a pound after I spent over $25.

Tonight, D1 and I ordered online from Kohls. I went through ebates to get 6% back and used coupon codes to save over $25. After $75 in giftcards, we paid OOP $16 for 8 items.

Today's free was D2's medication for her stomach issue. I have gone back and forth with the doctor and insurance company since we have never had to do mail order medication. It is a one time regimen of 42 pills, 3 a day for 14 days. The customer service lady on the phone said they had used a company rebate to cover the cost of my copay and I was thrilled and shocked! When I looked up this medication online, it was over $600 for the pills, and my insurance may charge me 30% or $10? It just took so long to get approved. It will be sent via Fed Ex and is set to be delivered on Friday.

Also, since they cooked to much for the 5th grade DARE graduation we ended up with free hotdogs and hamburgers ( and cookies) for lunch today.
