Slow Cooker Pork Carnitas

1 pork roast
salt & pepper to taste
1 can of whole green chilies
1 onion sliced

Season pork roast with salt and pepper. Place sliced onions into crock pot. Place pork roast on top of onions. Take whole green chilies and drape them over the roast covering as much of it as possible. Pour any liquid from the chili can into the pot.
cook on low for 8-9 hours or high for 6 hours until meat is tender and shreds easily. I pierce the roast with a fork and twist it and if it twists easily and the pork shreds, it is ready. Serve with warm tortillas, cheese, and any condiments you want.
