Roasted Turkey Breast

You will need a 6 quart or larger oval crockpot for this recipe and a frozen turkey breast that will fit in your crock pot.

Thaw turkey breast in the bottom of the refrigerator for 3 or so days, remove all the wrappings, wash well with cold water. Pat dry.

Line crockpot with a crockpot liner (optional).

Salt inside and outside of turkey breast and rub with margarine or butter leaving some extra inside breast cavity. Place turkey breast, breast side up, in crock pot. Add 1 can chicken broth. Sprinkle with either fresh chopped onions or dried minced onions and basil to your taste preference (lots or little). Place lid firmly on crock and cook on low 8 hours. Turkey will be extremely moist and tender. Remove lid and let turkey cool off a little before removing to serving dish. You can either tear it all apart removing bones and skin and place it back in the crockpot with the seasoned broth and place on keep warm to serve or you can put it on a serving plate and give it a little time to firm up before trying to slice with a sharp knife.

I never, ever cook turkey breast any other way!
