Mom’s Almond Roca

1 pound butter
2 ¼ cup sugar
¼ cup corn syrup
1 cup chopped raw almonds (may be blanched)
1 cup toasted almonds, chopped
6 regular size milk chocolate bars bars

Boil butter, sugar, and syrup 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Add raw almonds. Cook until nuts turn brown, or 300-degrees. Pour onto a buttered cookie sheet. Put 3 chocolate bars on warm brittle. Spread and sprinkle with ½ cup toasted almonds. Turn over and repeat with chocolate and nuts. Cook. Break into pieces. Store in airtight container.
