Microwaved Creamed Tuna

2 tablespoons butter or margarine
½ cup chopped onion
1 can (6.5 ounce) tuna, drained, rinsed and flaked
¼ cup flour
1 ½ cup milk
¼ teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1 can peas (optional)

Place butter, onion, and tuna in 4-cup glass dish. Microwave 3 – 4 minutes on HIGH. Combine remaining ingredients (except peas) in small bowl until smooth; stir into tuna mixture. Continue cooking for 4 – 9 minutes on HIGH, or until thickened, stirring every few minutes to blend; add peas after 4 minutes. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
