Asian Ribs Recipe:
Ingredients:
1/4 cup brown sugar, 1 cup soy sauce (I use a soy sauce substitute recipe to make it low sodium), 1/4 cup sesame oil, 2 tablespoons olive oil, 2 tablespoons rice vinegar, 2 tablespoons lime juic, 2 tablespoons minced garlic, 2 tablespoons minced fresh ginger, 1/2 teaspoon hot pepper sauce, 3 pounds country style pork ribs
Instructions:
Sir together the brown sugar, soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, lime juice, garlic, ginger, and hot pepper sauce in slow cooker. Add the ribs; cover and refrigerate for 8 hours or overnight. (I let them marinade for a full 24 hours). Before cooking, drain marinade and discard. Cook on low for 9 hours. (I let mine cook overnight)

This is the recipe for the Soy Sauce Substitute:
2 T Sodium Free Beef Bouillon
2 t Red Wine Vinegar
1 t Molasses
1/8 t Ground Ginger
ds Black Pepper
ds Garlic Powder
3/4 c Water

In small sauce pan, combine and boil gently uncovered about 5 minutes or til mixture is reduced to 1/2 cup. Store in refrigerator. Stir before using.

I use home made broth in place of the bouillon and water.

They were. And you can adapt this recipe if you have to have the salt. I would just add a little to it.

These ribs were so tender and yummy!
