[su_pullquote align="right"]More Cheap Recipes! [catlist name=recipes-blog orderby=rand numberposts=5][/su_pullquote]Fall is here! This is 100%, without a doubt my favorite time of the year. The weather gets crisp and cool, the leave turn orange, yellow and russet and we start making apple recipes. This recipe for Easy Baked Caramel Apples is perfect when you want a little something sweet and apple-y without going through a lot of trouble to bake a pie or cake or something complicated.

While apples can be purchased in the grocery store, and are usually priced affordably year round, late summer and early autumn is the prime season for fresh apples and this is when the price is a bit lower and the variety is a bit wider. If you have local pick your own apple farms even better!

To begin cut your apples in half and scoop out the middle with a melon baller or the tip of a vegetable peeler.

You want to make sure you dig out a nice little cup in the apple to hold the filling nicely.

Next place the apple halves, cut side up in the cups of a muffin tin. This allows them to bake without wobbling around.

And then you want to put a pat of butter on each apple half.

Then, you simply add some oats and some brown sugar on top of that little pat of butter.
And bake them at 350° for about 30 minutes or until everything is bubbly and hot and your apples are nice and cooked and the oats are crisp and yummy!

Then give them a lovely drizzle of some store bought caramel sauce. Oh my!

And eat. Enjoy. Love that it is Autumn. Relish. Love life!
