Crockpot Dirty Rice



1/2 pound bulk italian sausage
2 cups water
1 cup uncooked long grain rice
1 large onion, finely chopped
1 large green bell pepper, finely chopped
1/2 cup finely chopped celery
1 1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground red pepper
Parsley sprigs (optional)

1. Brown sausage in skillet for 6-8 minutes over medium heat, stirring to break up meat. Drain fat. Please sausage in slow cooker.

2. Stir all remaining ingredients except parsley. Cover, cook on low 2 hours.
Garnish with parsley.

Makes 4 servings
