Deer Steak and Rice



1 lb. venison steaks
2 T. sugar
2 T. oil
2 T. soy sauce
1/4 tsp. pepper
3 green onions (with tops), sliced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 T. oil
3 cups hot cooked rice

Trim fat from steaks and cut into thin strips. Mix sugar, 2 T. oil, soy sauce, pepper, green onions, and garlic in a glass bowl or resealable plastic bag, stir in meat. Cover and refrigerate at least 30 minutes. Heat 1 T. oil in skillet until hot; add meat. Cook and stir vension in oil over medium high heat until brown and liquid has evaporated. Serve over rice.
