At Clarks, we love our customers and take very seriously our role as a responsible employer and place you choose to shop. As part of Clarks’ global commitment to help protect the welfare of our employees, each of you and the broader public, we wanted to share with you the precautions we are taking across our U.S. stores in response to the coronavirus.

Our thoughts are with all who have been impacted by the coronavirus. While we take pride in our everyday practices to maintain a clean and sanitary environment within our Clarks stores, at present, we have implemented additional measures that reflect the recommended standards of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in response to the coronavirus.

In our stores, all high touch and high traffic areas are being cleaned with an approved disinfectant every two hours and this activity is being tracked. We are also actively communicating with our store teams about the role each of us can play to help prevent the spread of any germs, including thorough hand washing, avoiding contact with people who are sick and, of course, staying home if they are not feeling well.

Our thoughts are with all who have been impacted by the coronavirus.

As part of our concern and enduring commitment to the health and safety of our employees, customers and surrounding communities, we are temporarily closing all Clarks owned and operated U.S. store locations from the close of business today through March 30.

In recognition of this unanticipated scheduling change, we have made the decision to provide income continuity to our associates during this uncertain time. All of our store employees will receive pay and benefits during this temporary closure period.

As we all can see, the impact of the coronavirus is an evolving situation with regularly occurring developments. Our team will continue to keep pace and closely follow the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC’s) guidance. We will continuously monitor the situation and make adjustments as appropriate.

We recognize that some of you may need to make a Clarks return in the near future. Due to our temporary store closures, we have suspended our normal 60-day return policy. For in-store purchases made after January 15, 2020, we will accept returns in-store within 60 days of our stores reopening. For online purchases that you would like to return prior to our stores reopening, please utilize our Free Returns by Mail method described in our Return Policy.
