You don’t need to be age 50 or older to join AARP. If you are under age 50 you may join as “associate member”. You won’t be eligible for their insurance programs but you will be able to save with discounts for car rentals, cell phone service, entertainment, eyewear, restaurants, entertainment, travel and more. Call 1-800-OUR-AARP and tell the customer service rep you would like an associate membership. It’s just $12 for your first year with auto-renew, but you may cancel the auto-renew at anytime PLUS you can add a second person for FREE.
