There are a few decent gift card deals this week.
For the Target virgins, when Target has a gift card offer where you buy X to get a Target Gift Card, you will be able to use coupons with that deal. You will get the Target Gift Card at the register unless otherwise specified in the ad! You can roll those gift cards and do another deal, paying with the gift card you just got as long as the cashier doesn’t mind. I usually go out and come back in, rather than do several back to back. Once in a while the Target register freaks out and doesn’t want to give you the gift card. Remain calm.
The coupon should not affect whether you get the gift card or not. The gift card you are using to pay with should not affect whether you get the gift card or not. If you are told otherwise, ask to speak to a manager.
