WD clearance found

Be sure to check your WD for clearance items. I saw:

Pantene Pro V ~ some items $.98
Various Hefty trash bags ~ $2.xx
Herbal Essence ~ $1.xx
A large selection of other items ~ don't remember specifics as I was in a hurry to leave but did a quick glance

I am going to visit family in Al next week. Are there any clearance deals to be found at WD? All of my local stores here in Ga have closed, and I miss the clearance finds!

Well, I think it's probably YMMV. At the store closest to me, there is clearance, but their prices are so high normally that even clearance doesn't get close to something I'm interested in. Clearance stuff here is normally marked 50% off.

I'll be in the Birmingham area. My in-laws live there, so we are going for Thanksgiving. I checked out the ad, but I didn't see anything spectacular.

Hopefully I'll have time to swing by the store by my MIL's and check for clearance bargains. I used to love it when WD had HBA etc. for 50% off. I picked up some good deals that way. I am sorry that they closed here, but not surprised, because their everyday prices were high, food was not always freash and the stores very drab and dirty.

Haven't been back to the store since my 1st post. However, like mama2qts mentioned it is always a YMMV thing. Since the store near me was closed I hardly go into WD anymore. They closed down a brand new store to leave open a store that is nothing but a nasty mess.

My WD has literally more than a dozen carts of clearance items right now.

My Winn-Dixie usually has several carts of overpriced clearanced items. But, they disappeared for the holidays. Yesterday, I did get a bunch of bags of Winn-Dixie Pickle potato chips and Corn Chips for $0.25 each. That's about it for the clearance stuff I saw.

When I was in WD the other night, all of their clearance was mixed in on the shelves. They had apple jacks for 1.58, a couple of other Kellogg's cereals were 1.99 and Betty fruit snacks were 1.25. There were some other items that someone had come along before me and gotten but I still found some great deals.

Old Elpaso White Corn Taco shells, 12 pk for $.89 (there are coupon peelies for .55 off 2, and a printable this month at BTFE for 1.00 off two)
Pasta Roni chicken enchilada flavor for $.74 (I think)(there's a coupon for this out, too)
Wisp air freshener for 3.99 (spring fresh scent, or something) (4.00 off in this weeks insert!)
Wisp refills for 1.74 (vanilla garden and spring fresh something) (B1G1 coupon in this week's insert!)
Green Giant boxed frozen peas (no sauce, steam-in-bag) for $.89 (I think the .60 off three Green Giant boxed veggies is good on this)
