This is my second time going shopping at Winn dixie since I found HCW. I used to just shop the sales, but I am adding coupons and starting to get the concept of stockpiling. Some of you pros could have probably done better, but I was happy considering I usually spend $75-100 a week.

I bought:

10 Suddenly Salad
2 Honey nut cheerios
4 pert plus
2 Hillshire farm links
1 Sarah lee hot dog bun
2-1 lb Strawberries
1 Reese candy
1 M&M

I did everything in 2 transactions bc I thought they didn't carry the botanical Pert plus. I had to go to the cs desk for something and while I was there I asked the manager about it. She found it for me.

1st: Spent $23.13 /Saved: $39.96

2nd (2 pert plus): Owed me $1.67 so that is why I bought the candy. The cashier said they couldn't give me cash back. I ended up paying .44 this time around.

Any comments or tips?

Oh, btw, how do they work the $3 off watermelon? I thought a catalina would print up, should I have bought the watermelon in the same transaction?

I did get a $10/$50 catalina!!!

There is a $3 off watermelon Q (tear pad) by the Sarah lee hot dog buns. You buy the buns and either Ballpark franks or Hillshire farms sausage (which are bogo) to get the $3 off.

I had to go back today to get my watermelon because when I went the first time there was a dispute about getting the Pert plus so I forgot go check about the watermelon which didn't ring up. The manager argued with me about that too, but he still gave it to me. I wanted the mini melon (which is a whole melon like the coupon says) He said I had to get the larger melon, but nowhere on the Q does it give a size requirement.

I ended up paying about 60 cents for it.

Well I've been shopping at WD forever but just recently started using coupons. Today was my first time using coupons and catalinas. I am new to this board but have been reading about all the deals you all are making and I must say I am in awe of how great ya'll do. I live in a small town in LA and the choices I have to grocery shop are very limited. Winn Dixie is my favorite place to shop due to the convience of it being closest to my house but I always thought they were kinda on the steep side price wise. Boy am I glad to have found this board and see that I've been wrong. Great job ladies!! Please keep posting your deals so I can see where the best ones are to form my POA.
