I wrote to corporate for an official coupon policy and this is the response I received:
Dear AS,
Thank you for taking the time to send your inquiry. Please see answers to FAQ’s below.
•What kinds of coupons do you accept?
Manufacturer coupons, printable coupons, e-coupons on my loyalty card **At this time, our loyalty card does not support e-coupons but all other coupons are accepted as long as the printable ones are not produced with a fraudulent intent.
•Do you offer store coupons? Where may I find them?
**We currently have an in-store coupon book, while supplies last.
•May I use a store coupon and a manufacturer coupon on one item?
**All manufacturer coupons are acceptable with our in store offerings if they are within the guidelines of the coupon. It also depends on the verbiage that the coupon has on it. Some coupons say one offer per purchase and others say they cannot be used with any other offer. Then there are coupons that do not have any verbiage to the offer other than one coupon per transaction.
•Do you exclude any coupons? Ex: above $5 off, BOGO offers, coupons for free product?
**All coupons are accepted unless the verbiage on the coupon prohibits us from accepting it in the given situation.
•Do you accept Internet Printable Coupons? May I print them in black and white?
**See above. Coupons can be printed in black and white.
•Do you match competitor prices or take competitor coupons?
**No.
•What is your policy on overage: when the value of the coupon exceeds the value of the product?
**You may never receive cash back from a coupon. Coupon is valued at the cost of the product.
•If the coupon exceeds the item’s value do you adjust the price of the coupon down? Ex: $1.00 off coupon on $0.97 cent product.
**See above
•Do you limit the number of coupons I may use per transaction?
**No.
•Do you employees understand “one coupon per purchase=one coupon per item”, not “one coupon per transaction”?
**As stated above, it depends on the verbiage on the coupon.
•Does your store ever double or triple coupons?
**Not at this time.
•Concerning buy one get one offers. If your store runs a BOGO FREE promo, may I use 2 manufacturer coupons for the 2 products? Or may I only use one?
**You may use both coupons but again you will never receive money back. Also, some manufacturers do reject our coupons when they have a sale such as BOGO with us and coupons are taken with a stipulation printed on them.
•Are individual stores allowed to impose their own rules or vary from this policy?
**All stores should be following the same policies.
We appreciate your patronage and know we must continue to earn the privilege of serving your supermarket shopping needs today as well as in the future.
Thank you,
