I had my cashier at WD say that they have less problems when they take the card at the end. The bogo and using two coupons on them go through easier. I have been doing this lately and there is no beeping.
I usually give my card first, BUT last week when I went to WD, the cashier INSISTED I give him the card after everything else. I had a ton of stuff and a big stack of coupons and was expecting the usual cash register beeping and manager summons.
The cashier said that he's found that there are less problems with coupons if you give the card AFTER the coupons. And maybe he's right, because nothing beeped and that almost never happens to me at WD. Plus it was nice to see the total drop from over $190 to $75-ish.

I always use my card after the products have scanned and before my coupons and have never had a problem with the make a meal deals. I even had a cashier tell me once that if I wanted to use my coupons in conjunction with the make a meal deal (and I was getting multiple of the Make a Meal) to do each meal deal in a seperate transaction or I would only get the free products for the first deal
