Mine closed sometime ago and I miss it. We do have lots of other stores to chose from though.

Jacksonville at Baymeadows and 9A. That is a pretty busy area.

This is the store that is across from the Publix in Helena. It is a newer building but it has gone downhill since Publix opened up across the street. They are very coupon unfriendly (at least to me - lol) and there was always a problem anytime I went in there.

I'm happy my store isn't on the list. I don't shop there much since they stopped giving me 10/50 catalinas, but it'd be nice to keep our one grocery store in town-- aside from SAL. They already closed our Publix which still saddens me. Luckily, there's another 10 minutes further away.

Sounds like their reorganization from a few years back (when they closed all the NC stores) didn't help them stay competitive afterall. I used to like Winn Dixie when we had it here. It's a very tough market in this economy, we see more and more deals being offered by large chains and it's hard to stay competitive I'm sure.

Gosh, I hope they don't start closing stores here!! There's like ZERO competition as it is, with WD being the only semi-national chain store in the area. Then there's Rouses', which has pathetic sales (decent deals on meat though) and several independent/locally owned stores. For a while, there was rumor Kroger was trying to come into the area, but that didn't pan out.
And WD just started with the Fuel Perks program here!

They just opened a brand new Winn Dixie this spring, a block fom my house on the Northshore. It's super nice and always busy. They opened an Albertsons in Mandeville last year and it's always packed.
