I work for WD and I love our "coupon ladies" I understand all you bargain shoppers because my wife is one! (She works for WD too.) I help her out her cause because I'm constantly printing out internet coupons for her. We have many regulars that come in with stacks of coupons. Sorry for the stereotype, but we call ya'll the "coupon lady." (I have yet to meet a "coupon man" at my store but I bet there are a few out there. lol)
We go out of our way in my store to help our frequent coupon shoppers get through the line quickly and with no hassle. Ya'll are some of our most regular customers and you know how to work the system, so of course I'd want to treat you right. I realize that this is not the attitude at many WD stores and I apologize for that. The company has a huge initiative going to improve customer service, so it should get better soon.
We encourage our "coupon ladies" to go through the self checkouts so our cashiers won't get in trouble. It's also much easier to override any issues that may come up at the self checkouts rather than a regular line. Yes, for some strange reason WD thinks that taking a lot of coupons is a "red flag" for our cashiers. They are counseled weekly and the most common issue is high amount of coupons.
We will take any internet printed coupon at my store so long as it scans. If the computer won't take it, we can't take it. The store gets in trouble for "hand keying" coupons. Or hand-keying anything for that matter. Everything has to scan. We take coupons for both items in a bogo deal.
We do not take competitors coupons at my location, however the WD across town does. Not 100% sure about this, but I think only the stores that are in direct competition with WalMart are allowed price match coupons.
Anyways, This site is great. I love working for Winn Dixie and I love helping my customers. I look forward to participating on this forum and I'll be glad to try to answer any questions I can about shopping at WD. |
