Gulf Shores Winn Dixie

Hi!
We are headed to Gulf Shores on vacation, from OK. We are in the land of no real grocery store chains, only Target, Wal-mart and a few local stores. What should I know about Winn Dixie? When do they post the sale flyers? Do they double? I want to plan my local shopping before I go. Thanks for all your help

They post their sale ad at 10 pm on Tuesday nights on their website.

I don't think the store in Gulf Shores doubles--I know the other WDs in the area DON'T double.

The first thing to be aware of is they charge sales tax on all food products. Messes me up every time I try to figure out a scenario, and typically the tax is before coupons. The sales run Wednesday thru Tuesday, the ad is up online Wednesday morning. They do not double that I know of.
There is a Publix in Orange Beach that is really nice. It is not far from Gulf Shores.

publix does not double either, neither does winn dixie in gulf shores.

There is also a former Bruno's close to the W/D there. I'm not sure if it is still there; it may have been on the closing list a while back.

The Bruno's at Orange Beach is closed. I didn't pay attention, but the Gulf Shores store is listed as still open.

Cool! I'm headed there myself on Friday!!! I live in Alabama but moved from Florida so this will be a new beach experience for us.

Maybe I will see in Winn Dixie :)
