Store Card?

You have to have a store card to get the sale prices. Doesn't take long to get one, and if you have multiple family members, they might need one too. You can apply for the card online or in the store.


Does Winn Dixie accept competitor coupons?

Hate to say it, but this is YMMV also. Check with your store manager, because even stores in the same city differ on this issue.

What's the Baby Club?

This, combined with coupons and sales, is a great way to save on baby essentials! You must be either expecting or have a child 2 years of age or younger to qualify for this promotion. You must provide Winn Dixie with a valid birth date or due date to qualify. You can apply online or in the store.

Here are the perks from this Club:

$10 back for every 200 points earned on baby items purchased
coupons in the mail

if you get your baby's scripts filled there, you also get a $10 gc with the first one, and you get free script flavoring (I think this normally cost like $2 extra or so) on all child's prescription meds.

I was told today from the 866 number that no Winn Dixie doubles coupons anymore.

The Winn Dixie in Orlando will not accepted printed coupons either - so check on that too before you try to check out.

Please note: This has changed in some areas. For instance, in some Florida stores, the register programming has been changed so that the freebies do not count toward the minimum $25 purchase. In this case the $25 in groceries must be reached excluding the free items. If not, the free coupons will beep.

My WD takes the printed coupons with no issues. This is where I do most of my shopping. I will be watching here closely.

Is there a formula for knowing what you might get? When I read other posts, some seem to know what to buy to get what product in the catalina.

Every catalina requires specific items, in specific quantities. The best bet is to look through the catalina section of this forum and typically the first post details what is need to get the catalina. If you have a specific question, post in that thread and someone should be able to help.

I'm having no problems at all using internet coupons at the WD here in SW Florida. I usually use the self-checkout lane and there is always a clerk that must come by and wave her magic card after every few coupons.

Not sure where to post this question-
I have it in my head that you can only use 2 of any particular coupon per visit, so I only buy 2 items of something even though I want more. Am I correct, or do some of you experienced folks use easily 4 coupons for 4 identical items?

Friday I paid $5.66 for $52.68 worth of stuff. Love those $10 off $50 catalina things. Almost every visit I get one, and this last time there was a small wastebasket next to the self-checkout I was using where they toss the unwanted coupons that people leave in the machines that was chock FULL of them. Unfortunately it also had used Kleenex in there and I had just barely enough pride to NOT reach in there. lol

You can use one manufacturer's coupon and one store coupon per item that you purchase. If you have 25 coupons and are purchasing 25 of the correct item, you can use each and every coupon.

The way I think about coupons is to equate them to money. In the case of a coupon that is $1/1, it's like paying a dollar toward that product, and no store will turn down money.

The self-check out's are tricky with coupons in most stores. If you have issues with this, I would recommend trying a regular check out line.
