Default Re: Creative Uses For Winetags

Thanks for the ideas thats very helpful. I have a Winetag for ButterBall Turkey and it says it has to be a whole turkey fresh or frozen. Got any ideas for that one. It seems to me its a pretty limited winetag its a whole Turkey or nothin. I also had a winetage for a Pork Roast and it had to be at least $8. I couldn't find a roast on sale let alone one for $8 they were all $12 or $15 and up. I haven't been so lucky to find any fabulous winetags, at least not yet.

Well that's a bummer.. I guess it's a whole turkey then... as far as the pork roast.. maybe you could get the butcher to cut a smaller one for you?

I had the meat counter person pack a $8 pork roast for me. They can cut meat to size and pack it for you. so the roast was $6 with the tag. i took it home and cut it into two roats for 2 dinners. two meals $3 bucks not bad.

A few more suggestions:

Chicken
go to the in-store deli/cafe thing and get a chicken nugget (or two). I did this for a WYB peelie (that I had already bought chicken for previously)... just so I could have less hassles at the checkout.

Oh... and spices
My store (Cash Wise) has bulk spices in the organic section. They are usually better quality and of course you can control the price :)

What would qualify as a stuffing product? I assume it can be anything used for a stuffing. I have already thought of eggs, bread, spices, rice or rice mix, broth, nuts and dried fruit. Any other suggestions. Also do you think using a mixer wine tag for soy or almond milk would be pushing it too much? I've known people who drink Kaluha & cream. Soy or almond milk could be used as a substitute I guess?

oysters, corn meal, corn bread mix, sausage, variety of spices ( sage ect), chicken broth, bread crumbs, bread itself, dried apricots, dried cranberries

try searching a recipe sire for stuffing recipes --

on the mixer subject -- please use coconut milk as a mixer, so why not soy or almond

please rep me if this helps

I don't think the mixer could go for milk of any kind.. I understand where you are going.. but mixers are usually sodas and waters...
