Hello from New Jersey

Good morning everyone! I'm new to the forums. Here's a little about me.

My name is Michelle. I'm a mother to a very smart and bright (almost) 11 year old son, Jon. I also have a wonderful boyfriend of a year and a half, Ron. I am owned by my Jack Russel - Copper and OUR Great Dane, Bruiser. We live in Ewing, NJ - about a mile or so from TCNJ.

I am currently (un)gainfully unemployed since October 2011 and am searching like crazy for that perfect job. I currently accepted a short term part time position for during tax season that will only last 2.5 months...but I'm searching for a more permanent position - to which I am interviewing for a PT (to start) position at a local construction supply company.

I started couponing a few months ago, but I haven't gotten the hang of matching up to deals, etc. However, I did get a bunch of tooth paste and tooth brushes for FREE about 3 months ago. I'm still trying to figure out how to get MORE coupons, with out having to pay for additional newspapers.

I have my binder that is pretty organized, but currently running empty as I just had to get rid of about a months worth of coupons because they expired (I clipped coupons for stuff that I didn't use/need). I didn't get rid of them, I sent them to a friend of mine who's husband is in the army so they buy stuff on base and can use expired coupons for 6 months past the expiration date. She was in heaven!

Anyhow, I'm hoping I can learn alot from this forum. Looking forward to meeting all of you!

I only saved about $20.00 today. I hope to get this nailed down soon. It's tough that some of the match ups, I searched ALL the RP, SS, and PG inserts to not find ONE of those coupons.

Don't get discouraged, you saved $20 which means you did a great job. Couponing takes time to learn and once you can figure out the sales cycles, you will be able to actually pass up on some things b/c you will have it in your stockpile. Hopefully, you joined the Trader in Trading group so that you can trade w/ other members to get the coupons that us Jerseyans get jipped out of!
