New to Couponing!

Hello All! I live in Northern California and am a stay-at-home mom of three girls under the age of three. I am in need of saving money, and after watching the new Extreme Couponing show I have decided to throw my hat in the ring. I only want to buy items that I need/use and don't want a huge stockpile, but I do want to save as much as possible. None of the stores in my area double coupons, and I currently do all of my shopping at Target (who will accept one store and one manufacturer coupon). I just feel so overwhelmed, and don't understand how people save so much. I also am curious about the coupon binders...I haven't really come across enough coupons to need a whole binder. Whatever help is out there I would appreciate it!
