I am pretty new to clipping coupons but feel like I am not watching closely enough to get great deals. I did get two free packs of M&Ms last week but I would like to do more.

I am currently living in MD and want to keep my budget low since I have been unemployed.

I have a question and didn't know where to post it since there are so many boards. If the store has a deal of Buy One Get One 50% Off can I use two manufacturer's coupons on those items?

What stores do you have? Hi from Franklin County, (PA) Do you have a Weis or Giant/Martins nearby? If so, start w/ those 2 forums. Most of the store forums have a free/cheap thread. Read those first, then comb the weekly ad threads for the weekly deals, and add those to your list. Do that for each of your area stores. Then pull out all the Qs for those items.
Then each week, just check the weekly threads to add to your list.

Awesome thanks for the info. That gives me an easy technique to start with. I am in Baltimore and I walk everywhere so the the stores I frequent are Safeway, Giant, CVS, and RiteAid. So I will check those out. I am also going to go walking the evening before Recycling picks up to see if there are coupons in the bins.

In answer to your question about using 2 coupons on a B1G1 deal, it varies by store, so you're going to want to read through the FAQ threads in each of your store's forums.

For instance, from the Safeway FAQ:

4. Coupons cannot be applied against the free item received in any offer where a customer buys one or more items to get one or more items free.

In other words, you can use 1 coupon for the first item, but since the 2nd item is free with their offer, you wouldn't be able to use a coupon for that second item.
