Newbie Ready To Get Rolling!!!

Hey Ya'll!

Want to introduce myself. My name is Shella & I live in Calera, Alabama. I have been a SAHM for 5 years this Thur. and have 2 kids. One will be 5 on Thur. and my baby is 2. I have always cut coupons but was amazed by a girl that is a mod. on here that I was friends with in highschool. She is a friend of mine on Facebook & I love seeing what she does with coupons! So I am ready to start saving MORE money with coupons.

I also own a monogramming/ embroidery business which is based out of my house. Since I became a SAHM times have be rough with only 1 income. I am sure alot of you can relate to that! Like I said, I have always cut coupons but never got into as seriously as I want to now!

Is there any one around the Shelby County area that is interested in swapping coupons and networking? I talked to a couple of ladies today at Publix and gave them my business card in hopes I can network with them. One of them got $60.00 worth of groceries for like $12.00!!! I saved $12.24 in coupons, special savings, and advantage buys.

Hi Sheila and welcome. I do not live in Alabama but you may also want to look at trades and maybe riding the trains. You can get some great coupons from different areas that you may not get in yours.

I do live in AL, but I am over 3 hours away from you. I live in the southern part of the state on the FL line. They just closed our Winn Dixie about 3 months ago. I have a Piggly Wiggly, which used to be a Southern Family Market, in my town as well as 2 smaller grocery stores and a Supercenter Walmart. I usually travel quite a bit and sometimes go to Publix about once a month.

I know that I will never be able to get the deals that some get on this site, but I am trying to lower my grocery bill. We also have a Walgreen's. I am able to get alot of hbas and sometimes food there really cheap when I am able to combine sales and register rewards.

Be sure to check the grocery store forum to check your local store sales and drug stores like cvs,walgreens etc to maximize your savings.
