Newbie here Hi,
I'm a mother of 5 girls, married to a wonderful husband. I'm looking for ways to save money on our grocery bill. I've heard of the stories of paying pennies for $300 worth of groceries. I always thought that was crazy. My husband doesn't believe it either..lol. Really, I'm just looking for ways to get things cheaper. I recently found coupons.com and smartsource. Redplum comes in my mailbox every week so I clip those coupons. I saved about $5.00 at walmart..lol. I want to save more, so I'm here trying to learn all about couponing. I feel very much overwhelmed and have thought of giving up already when looking over the forums. Is this really doable? Please say yes. I really, really want to make this work for my family. :)
I figure, I better start small. So do you have any advice for just beginning? I have a Winn Dixie card ( I shop there occasionally) and I go to Walmart once a week for almost everything. I also have a CVS and Walgreens not far from me. I'd greatly appreciate any advice and encouragement. Thanks so much.
Re: Newbie here You've found the right place for info and help! Do start small! Always ask questions. People on here are so willing to help. Shaving off $$ is very doable. However, I think a lot of it is how much time you have to spend on it. Are you brand loyal to many products? Most of all, get connected on line or in real life with others wanting to pinch pennies! It really helps me keep up with the deals!

welcome to HCW the world of great savings and nice people initially it seems like a different language but soon you will get a hold of everything.
Be sure to check the grocery store forum to check your local store sales and drug stores like cvs,walgreens etc to maximize your savings.
and if you like come join us in trading section so you can get the coupons you need for sales if you need more info you can pm any mod or ill be also willing to help.
