Funny comment by cashier

Thought u guys might enjoy this...
I was at a 24 hr weis Tuesday nite, trying to find $1.99 bags of Purina One cat food to use my $2 cpns on. Found 1 bag + a few other things i had q's for. Only uscans were open, so i started cking out. After i scanned the 3rd q it froze, started the flashing light & loudly announcing "help is on the way". I waited & waited & watched clerk 2 aisles over restock bags. Finally i pointed out the flashing lite & "help is on the way" still being broadcast...
She came over, scanned my q, (it didnt come off) & so she looked at it ...
"oh, its because its expired"
"it expires today!"
"oh, well i dont know what time they expire them"
"at midnite when it's no longer that day.....!"

The drama/ comedy continued from there...
Took me almost half an hour to buy my 6 items...
I've heard a lot, but never heard that one before!

That is too funny!... I was at Weis the other day and the machine froze also...Girl came over and said she had never seen that screen before..."internal error!"...I blew it up with my coupons...lol

For several weeks we had the same checker and she kept making comments about all the wet dog food we were buying (we had two large newfoundland black lab mixed dogs).

So after this went on for weeks she said it again and I said "It makes really great meatloaf. You should try it sometime."

When she sees me coming now she closes her line. :)

I know I've shared this story before, but. ..

I was buying nine single rolls of toilet paper -- each with their own coupon -- and some milk. The cashier would, as per policy, allow only four like coupons, but she did allow me to split the transactions. When I got to that last transaction -- one single roll of tp -- she said, "That's all you have? Why didn't you put it with the others?"

This is the same cashier, by the way, who warns me that she might not be able to use those "computa" coupons I hand her.
