This Week's New Coupon Rule!!!!!

I went to Weis this evening to take advantage of the Scrubbing Bubbles Extend "cat" and to pick up some Arm & Hammer trial size and Marcal 4 count toilet paper.

I was planning on going through SCO to make my life easier and it just caused problems. The cashier first tells me that if I plan on using the 2/1 marcal coupon I need to buy 2 packs because she can't adjust the coupon down to 1.39, the price of the product. She then looks at my toothpaste and states that I need to buy 3 toothpastes to use the 2.50/2 coupon. I said that isn't correct, you can adjust the price of the coupon. After about 30 minutes of explaining to her, she just says I'll do it since I'm not going to be here tomorrow and continued to be angry during my checkout. Has anyone heard of not adjusting the coupon? if they don't give overage and they don't adjust the coupon, maybe they don't want my coupons.

I'm going to call corporate tomorrow and let them know how I was treated and the fact that to purchase a few items I was there for almost 45 minutes. Since this isn't my first time having a problem with this store, I"m also going to ask for a giftcard for my trouble.

I had a problem at the Berwick store for them being very coupon UNfriendly I boycott them and use the Bloomsburg store. i want to check out the Danville store but know nothng if they are nice or play dirty. LOL definately contact them. They will correct the problem asap. I had a problem once with the keebler coupons Buy crackers get $ off fruit and they tried to tell me I couldnt use a coupon on the crackers because the coupon was for crackers.even Mngmt argued with me until I called corp and they were very understanding. They called that store right after I got off the phone with them because the next day I went they took all of my coupons no fuss. but that was my last visit to that store becasue I dont want to be known as the menace... kwim? but corp told me you can use a coupon for the item you are buying if you have a B1G1F Q it is in there policy that they have at corp. stand your ground

I know what you mean about being a menace, but I'm not going to let them make up their own rules. Since I live in Hazleton, I have to put up with this store. I'm not driving to Pottsville or Bloomsburg to shop at Weis. They need to realize that even though they adjust the coupons, they get the full value of the coupon plus 8 cents handling to accept it. They make more money from people who use coupons than those who don't.

My store is VERY coupon UNfriendly. You pretty much have to fight about everything you're buying. It's VERY annoying. They do however give overage for all items. I don't get the price adjusting thing. They are fully reimbursed by the manufacturer and there is nowhere on most coupons to adjust so the manufacturer doesn't pay them more than they paid out. Now, I could see them adjusting if the amount in overage is caused by them doubling. That would be out of their pocket.

My store will not let me use the $2 marcal q on the 4 pack of tp. They also say that they can't adjust the coupon. I've talked to corporate about other issues and she keeps telling me that most of the "rules" are left up to the managers and that they can pretty much make up any rules that they want!!

Finally got a call back from the store and of course I was correct. The manager stated that the coupon should have been adjusted. With that said, the manager said she would be sending me a $25 giftcard.
