Default shelf vs. sale price question

If Weis bases the cats on shelf price rather than sale price, do I have to wait until the end of my order to use my loyalty card or can I hand it over at the beginning?

Do it at the end if possible, because, if you do it at the beginning, all your discounts will come off, and you will THINK you're too short for it to print. kwim?

That's the mistake I made on my order, and it ended up costing me more.

Thanks. I almost always keep a running total with a calculator, but I'm used to Giant where everything is sale price.

i usually write the sale price on my circular as i'm putting things in my cart and then use a calculator to confirm. then i try to put the deal all at the beginning of the order so i can see what the sale price came to. if i do self checkout, i scan my card after the deal items are scanned.

of course, when i do the math wrong (like thinking the cat food appetizers were 5/$4 not 4/$5 regular price, then i buy too much stuff)...
