The Gillette deals [$5 off your order]

If I get 2 Razors and 2 Hydragel, will I get the $10 off my order or does it need to be 2 separate transactions. What has been your experience with these type's of deals in the past?

The razor/shave cream is net $1.48 for both after coupons and the shampoo/body wash deal is free after coupons. I'd love to stock up!

It is $5 off the current order, not the next order, right?

Not sure about doing it twice in one transaction, I always err on the conservative side and do separate ones!

I just did this deal and it worked great, and the best part is...they were on sale! The razor was $7.99 and the shave gel $2.49, so after $5 off (yes, it was off this order!) and minus $5 in q's, the total was 48 cents!! I will definately be doing this again :)

wovenwonder: I too, always err on the side of caution. I always seperate mine, because I've 'been burned' too many times, and it's a royal pain having to go to CS to straighten it out.

Got to love it when they pay you to pick stuff up!

Also, I went shopping Wed. night. Something I noticed:

You know how there have been 2 different Velveeta tearpads around? (B2 Mac & Cheese (liquid pouches), G1Free Velveeta Cup, and $1/2)

On the shelf, was a blue price freeze tag, that stated that if you bought 2, you got a Free Cup. So when I got to the checkout, I asked if that was an instant savings or if I had to use the coupon to get the deal. Of course, the CS lady thought I was 'talking out my butt', and the knowledgeable cashier wasn't sure. So while the CS lady was gone, I talked the cashier into hitting 'subtotal', and the Cup came off my bill automatically! Then the CS Rep returned to verify, that I was right (she even said that!) and I didn't need the coupon.

So, I'm letting you all know this, for 2 reasons.

1. So you aren't accused of coupon fraud, for using a coupon w/ that deal, when you're already getting it for free.
2. So you know how many cups to put in your cart.

So in other words, get those freebie ones now, while using your $1/1 Qs, and save the tearpad Qs for later usage, or at a different store.

thanks for the heads up on this; i will try to head over today instead of waiting if it's almost free. can i do both deals on the same order, just not multipes of one deal? that will absorb the overage of the one on the other?

I may go ahead and try to double up on the deal in a single transaction and see how it works. I'm going to get two of each item. If it doesn't work I'll ask them to void them before I pay. I'll go when it isn't busy and let the cashier know what I'm going to try in advance.
