Doesn't that get annoying?

To educate your cashier, please tell her that when an item is scanned, it constitutes a "purchase".
So, if you have 10 of the SAME item
or 10 DIFFERENT items, when the cashier scans ALL 10...
That equals 10 "purchases".
So, for each "purchase"....a coupon can be used.
The "Limit one coupon per purchase" wording on coupons
doesn't limit us to ONE coupon per transaction/visit/customer/day, etc.
It only means that :
For EACH item (purchase) made, we can only use ONE coupon.
The ONLY reason that Manufacturers put that wording on coupons is so that consumers don't come thru the line with ONE item (purchase) and want to use 2+ coupons on that ONE item (purchase).
Because Walmart is sooooo bothered by coupons, I do THREE things :
#1. I keep a printed copy of their coupon policy in my coupon binder. For easy reference in case of any type of refusal at the register.
#2. I keep a copy of 3 different *types* of coupons in my binder (doesn't matter if they are expired coupons, I only use them to reference the WORDING) :
a. "Limit one coupon per
customer"
b. "Limit one coupon per
transaction"
c. "Limit one coupon per
purchase"
#3. I keep up-to-date on their policies and contact CORP (1-800-WAL-MART) if I ever question anything.
I do NOT ask a store manager, cashier, or district manager.....
I prefer to have the HIGHER authority clarify things for me.
I hope that with the policy in-hand, you are able to explain to your WM cashier about the limits...and that, in the future, you have better experiences there.
Good luck!
