| Re: Walmart Immediate Response Team Just to confirm (I've worked in the corporate offices for WM for 6 years and the store for 1 yr)--the 479-273-4000 is the main phone # for the corporate offices, same one that listed in the phone book here--it takes you immediately to a switchboard operator that transfers. As far as the 1-800-WALMART #, the dept that this number goes to is part of the coporate offices (different building--but we have have several buildings associated with the HO here), but they are hourly associates. They are suppose to write up (what we call) Remedy Tickets to the buying office, market manager, etc. to rectify the situation. If you don't get a call back, it's because the person they assigned the issue to isn't taking the incentive to resolve the issue. As far as offering GC, etc. for your trouble, this isn't something that is done at the HO level. Even the buyer offices do not have access to give these out for customer complaints. HOWEVER, it could come from the store, market manager, or regional manager level because this would come directly off the store's bottom line (any type of incentive they office such as a gift card, etc). I would also try contacting the store's Market Manager or Regional Manager (regional is the highest level of management); their numbers can be found on the wall either beside or behind the customer service desk.
It's unfortunate to get bad customer service. Even as an employee and living is "Wal-Mart land" (with 7 supercenters in a 35 minute radius!), I run into them too. Hope this clears up any confusion but if there are questions, just let me know. |

| Re: Walmart Immediate Response Team This number will not work for store issues, but if you ever order anything from walmart.com and need help, then use this number: 1-800-966-6546 and it will send you directly to someone who will help you with your problem. I had to go to the store level and work my way up to get it, but since then have used the number twice and got my situations resolved. I am not sure about their exact hours, since Wal-Mart.com is actually HQ'ed in California (at least they were until at least 2004). Yes, thats right...same company...different HQ's for .com and the stores. Also, Sam's Club is not managed by the same group that manages stores...
This number isn't published...not even on the walmart.com receipts. The managers had no idea how to contact them via phone, so they had the crazy idea to ask the "claims person" in their store if she had a number because she has to deal with the .com items that are returned to the store. The only way to contact them is through email unless you have this number, so for any of you who ever order anything form them, put it on your cell or sticky note it to somewhere safe! I won't be stupid enough to claim I have no idea why they don't publish the number....
Oh...and as an Arkansas resident, I am Wal-Mart born and raised. My dad has worked for them for over 20 years. As a college student, I worked for them at the store level and as after college spent a year working for them in in Bentonville at HQ. I love it when a cashier, CSM, ASM, or SM try to sell me a bogus line...especially since I worked in part of HQ that was directly tied to SM training!!! Once they figure out that I know my stuff...well, it gets fun then! |

| Re: Walmart Immediate Response Team i finally used this # today, as after a year and a half of putting up with crap from walmart associates at my local store, store management, and not being given the district managers phone number when i have requested it--about once a month being requested and never give, wasnt resolving issues, BAD customer service and NUMEROUS other issues (coupons being marked down to item price, yet not adjusting it on the coupon, bad produce bad meats, dead plants being sold, the list could keep going on)
ironic thing is, walmart in boise idaho(about 3 hours away from where i am) is wonderful, the walmarts ive been into in washington, oregon, california, colorado, and one in salt lake have all been WONDERFUL.......ive ONLY had issues at my local walmart, and honestly a 12 hour drive to moms house to go to walmart kinda sucks, but i would rather take a 12 hour drive then be treated like crap when shopping
