Coupon Not Accepted

I shop at walmart probably 3x a week and today was the 1st time they wouldn't accept one of the my internet coupons. It was for Maybelline Dream blush makeup and when they scanned the coupon it wouldn't work(the coupon even had walmart on it and was in color). I guess a floor manager came over and just glanced at the coupon and said if its an internet coupon and it doesn't scan corporate said we don't have to take it bc of the all the fraud going around. I said can't you punch the bar code numbers in and she said nope and left. Luckily I had a newspaper coupon that worked for the same item otherwise I wouldn't have gotten the item. But, I have never had a problem before with any coupons. Usually if they don't scan the cashier will push the number in or double check the item and push it through. I emailed corporate to let them know what was being said and am waiting for them to respond. I know some people cheat the system but for those who don't, why should we get punished?? I was/am still pretty frustrated. Thanks for letting me vent.

We had the same thing happen on 1/31. Went in with a LOT of printables. About half went through when scanned, the others didn't so they didn't accept them.

i believe it is in their policy that they have to scan. kmart and kroger near me are the same, if they dont scan they do not have to accept. and i am not talking the "it didnt scan but that is because our computers arent updated" line where you here the beep but the computer says no item sold.

have the plan to have them take the item off, take your coupon back and save for another day.

Sorry about that, it is in their coupon policy that they don't take IP's that don't scan.

Does it only have the new barcode? I've found that those really don't seem to be scanning and often when they type in the barcode that doesn't seem to be working either.

You could try emailing a letter asking that your Walmarts registers get updated so the new barcode when it gets scanned actually works
