    HOT ugh

ok so i went to walmart tonite to get a few random things. while i was picking a line i noticed 2 women with carts full of johnsons baby lotions and washes and viva paper towels. so i assumed they were using coupons and got in line behind them to see what they were using, so i could also get some. lol. well to my suprise when i asked one of the women if they were using coupons and she had an attitude and said no. i was like ohh ok. So they seperated the orders and so i knew they were using coupons but they acted kinda funny about me looking at how they were organizing. which i was only trying to observe. but then the coupons came out!!! And each did 3 seperate orders and paid under $1 each time. Which by the second lady i was very interested at what coupons they were using. so after they left i asked the cashier about what coupons they used and she showed me!!! OMG! these women told this girl that target had johnsons on sale for $1, which they dont and thy used $1 off one johnsons baby product excluding trial size. and the viva paper towels, they used $1/6 rolls!! they told the cashier that each roll was on sale for $1 and the coupons were fine to use for single rolls.

THIS IS WHY COUPONERS WHO ARE HONEST HAVE SUCH A HARD TIME WITH GETTING GOOD DEALS!!! UGH... THANK YOU DISHONEST COUPON USERS!!

Whoa! Doesn't Walmart check the prices? We did price matching when I worked at K Mart and we kept all of the other store's ads up at the front register. We might occasionally match a lower regular price but we didn't like to do that because it meant calling the store. If it was some kind of closeout or something we wouldn't match that price. We did go comp. shopping a lot so we did try to keep our regular prices at or below the other stores. We did not have Walmart in the area at that time. So we didn't have to worry about them.

that is crazy and so infuriating. what WM is it? i'm shocked the cashier didn't pull the ad out or ask for the ad from the customer. anytime i price match at either or my walmarts (cleveland hts or bedford) they make a huge deal out of it and make me show them the ad and then get the manager to come over and OK is and then when i pull out the coupons they make the manager come back over and they scrutinize every single one individually. it's so bad that i've stopped price matching there and just go to target instead.

it was walmart in elyria, ohio. I was so shocked that the cashier let the $1 off SIX rolls slide and used one Q for each roll. now the price matching, i havent priced matched at walmart so i didnt know what the policy was there. but that whole thing was crazy. they got like 40 rolls. so when some manager looks at these coupons they are going to think they got 240 rolls of paper towels until they see the actual transaction.

The walmart I go to 90% of the time says oh I dont need to check it I trust you.Well after hearing this I will insist on her checking and just inform the manager of what people are doing and that it will ruin it for us honest people.

Wow, that is terrible. I never imagined "price matching" imaginary prices like that to get free stuff! Bad karma to them!!

The one time we price matched some TP, they didn't question us, but it was for one item so I didn't think that was unusual.

This is one reason I don't take offense when I'm being asked for an ad or the cashiers tries to look for their copy if I don't show my copy. To save us time, I bring my own ad and they really appreciate it knowing I'm not just saying "invented" prices. Once and for all, I wish WM will just revise their policy on ad match and clearly state what they mean.

Many times, there are loss leader sales in other grocery stores here like .69 for 3lb bag of onions, $3.99 for gallon of OJ so I make sure to bring my ad as proof. In case I forget the ad, I'd let them know what ad to look for and the page the sale is on.

So far, I have no problems with ad match (knock on wood )
