Christmas ~ Here's what I scored! (plus my funny story) What great deals did you get?

I got a quilt set for $12.40 and it came with a card to mail in for a free 1 yr subscription to Better Homes and Gardens....if you don't want the subscription you can send the card and a copy of your receipt to get $6 back.

Consider taking the mag subscription!! I rate BHG as one of my "money savers" because there are so many coupons and money saving ideas in there.....

We also got the Dove sets (bodywash and 2 other items), Shick (razor, shaving cream and travel bag) both on sale for $5. At least I think it was Dove and it had a subscription for a free magazine.

Are there any other items that have the BH&G subscription? Does it say so clearly on the quilt set package? I saw the Dove one today, but someone had taken everything out of the package, and that was the only one. That did say so on the packaging.

Wah! Nothing I needed. They had a 75% off section just inside the store. It was mainly Christmas candies and cookies. There was some soap in bottles that looked like ornaments and a ton of massagers. Also some Christmas pillows and blankets.

They had a ton of Christmas stuff that was 50% off. Mostly large boxes of ornaments that appeared to be plastic. I'd say they waaaay overbought on those. Some gift bags and wrap and a few other things.

Then I began to put 4 boxes of Jimmy Dean biscuits and sausage in my cart. The price there is about $2.00 less than at the grocery stores. I then thought I should check the expiration date and sure enough they were already expired! So back they went.

We were able to get quite a few cheese and fruit snacks that don't expire until the 16th. Also some sliced apples. I just bought a box at Costco and husband has eaten them all. He also knocked the Parmesan cheese on the floor and by the time we found it, it was warm. So we replaced that.
