HOT Wal-Mart has officially ruined my Christmas!

Okay, so really, they haven't. At least, not yet.

I ordered a Wii Mario Kart bundle through Wal-Mart.com and I was going to drive to the store to pick it up.

I call my fiance to let him know and he says, "Um. You didn't get the email? They canceled our order."

WTH?! I rush home and log into my fiance's email account and see indeed that they canceled my order.

I then go to Wal-Mart.com to see if I could order the bundle at a different store and I see the Wal-Mart, I originally was going to buy the bundle from still said it was in stock.

I called their Electronics Department and finally got a hold of someone after a few calls and they let me know that they only have the Mario Kart Wii bundle without the remote control wheel.

Should I write an email and complain about the misrepresentation of the product being in stock and the fact that it's still showing on their site as in stock?

I was really hoping to beat the Black Friday madness and now it looks like I may have to suffer the madness.

    [Update]

I call the closest Wal-Mart to my house and they told me that yes indeed they have the bundle, I want. I rush out of my house and drive to Wal-Mart.

I go to Electronics and look in the locked display case. Alas, it is the bundle that I'm not looking for. Grr! I drove for nothing.

Oh. I forgot to add they canceled my order, because they said the item was not in stock at the store, I was supposed to pick it up at, but it still shows as being in stock at that store, online.

I will get a Wii, no matter what!

If I were you, I would be calling Wal-Mart corporate and *nicely* asking for one to be either shipped to your local WM (site-to-store) or directly to you at no added charge.

I ended up ordering the Wii bundle from GameStop and GameStop threw in a bonus game.

My online bank account is showing that Wal-Mart still has a hold on my money. I don't know what my bank's policy is when online orders get canceled, but if there's still a hold from Wal-Mart on Monday, I'm going to print out the canceled order confirmation, march to my bank, and ask my bank to take off the hold.

While I can understand your frustration about the order being cancelled, and I see that you got a different bundle, Christmas shouldn't be based upon a gaming system.

This is the first year that I've had a full-time job where I can afford good gifts, and I wanted it to be extra special for my fiance, because usually he gets me good gifts, and I get him cheap stuff.

I'm not really mad at Wal-Mart for not having the product in stock for pick up. I was just grumpy and concerned for others that might have tried to get the same deal and they'd have to go through that process that I went through (order canceled, but Wal-Mart having a hold of your money for a number of days).

When Wal-Mart saw that the product wasn't in stock at that store, they should've stated the same on the website, instead of showing the product as being in stock.

Anyhow, my money is back so I'm happy and the Wii is being shipped to my house.
