Issues with walmart as usual......

Ok Im curious if anybody else has had this problem.... I went grocery shopping the other day at walmart and I picked up 4 tide trial size detergent cause I had the .50 off 1 coupon which made them .47 the coupon does not state what size or excludes trail size ( I bought them one week pror to this shopping trip, and used the coupon with no problem...) Well when I was doing my coupons the lady came back and told me that I couldnt use the tide coupons because it doesnt match the picture, which I stated that the picture doesnt matter its the wording on the coupon that matters, so she calls her CSM over and she says that " accounting" says they have to go by what is pictured and not the wording.... Is this a new policy that I wasnt aware of ? HAs anyone else had this same problem?

Not that one but I have had problems this week there myself...however I have been told that at family dollar pretty much...

I was told at my store that they were losing money on coupons..LOL I know why they (lots of csm & cashiers) were doing things other than the policy said..I was yelled at by a cashier,told that I did not know what I was talking about,that I needed to reread the policy and that she knew how to do her job for telling her she was not doing as the online policy said..Well now her and the CSM knows I was right and they were wrong(the cms was nice when I went to her about this but all the same she NOW knows what the policy says) and the yelling cashier was going to be wrote up and told the policy again..The up front mtg said that she was working to get a class together to retrain all of the CSM and the cashiers,that she did not know there was such a big problem with the coupon policy as I had showed her that there was for she had not had her job long.........I cant post many details on here for I dont want to get in trouble...

I would go in the store,take the policy with you and the coupons and ask to speak to the up front floor mtg...

The problem may be with this coupon, is that the UPC doesn't match from the coupon to the product because P&G stop packaging the Tide trial, and have another company packaging it now..which means it has to be pushed through. So you can try to contact corp and complain and go that route if you want...but honestly I would call this a huge YMMV and no way would I personally pay .50 for trial size tide. I just personally don't use the coupon on the product because it's going to spit out the journal..and the cashier is going to have to push it through. Accounting may look at it and may find issues with it, technically it should be fine though...because the coupon hasn't excluded trial...but the UPC isn't matching up...so they may scrutinize it and find issue with it on walmart's end.


honestly though...if your going to have a fight with them...save it for the $1.00/1 coupons that don't exclude trial. Might as well save it for the good ones....

I also think .47 for one load is a little much.. but if you need it and dont have any or much money then I would get one or two of them I guess.. but even then for about $1.50 to $2 I can come up with a regular size box of some kind to buy.

I do tide at walmart for 60 loads for 11.00

For tide almost .19 is a little more than I would pay for it or do. I got several 32 load for like $2.50 a box a few weeks ago,which is about .08 a load and I get about 50 loads out of that because of the HE washer I have. I can get other brands for like .06 to 08 a load by the box size and price but I also cut that in half so it is about .03 to .04 a load on those brands....I keep a box of Tide on hand for work clothes and such but school, house and not bad soiled stuff gets the cheaper brands.

I have some brands that I even got free.

This was one thing I had a hard time on learning to get cheap..

What is the average price for liquid laundry soap?? On a good deal of course. I cannot use powdered detergent because my husband's skin breaks out. Come to think of it, he makes it hard to coupon on alot of stuff because he is so picky. >:-(

.47 per load is ALOT more than I pay for tide! I wait for it to go on sale, use up some of the less-than-stellar coupons then but trash most of them now.

I know the feeling...

Also, if someone else does laundry in the house too... watch how much detergent they use. I just found out the reason we've been going through so much detergent is because on the Ultras or whatever the 2x power types are named... he's using a full cup instead of the half cup the directions say to use!
