QUESTION WALMART Not understanding coupon policy.

Okay, I've looked at this too many times maybe. So, Walmart will take manu Q that say another stores name on them, but not store coupons for somewhere else. Am I correct? For some reason I'm feeling very confused with this. I've been doing almost all of my coupon shopping at Giant Eagle, but I want to start to expand. Just want to make sure I'm doing it right. Specifically, I'm wondering about Q you can print out for dollar general or Target that say store coupon?

    Thanks for the help

As long as the coupon has the price of the item on it you are ok, they will accept it. But, they will not accept the coupon, if it's for x amount off. For example, most Target coupons are for $1.00 off X, but most Walgreens coupons in their weekly ads have a price printing on the add!

Hope you make a smooth transition

A manufacture coupon is a manufacture coupon. It doesn't matter if it has a logo with DG on it or Walgreens....it's still a manufacture coupon and is going to get redeemed the same as any other manufacture coupon.

They are accepting "some" store coupons with specific guidelines but what they really are doing is taking that store coupon and "ad matching" it. They cannot redeem that coupon.

So on Target.com....any manufacture coupon that is printed out is fine as long as it doesn't say "only good at Target" I've seen a couple of those. Any store coupon that you print out...99% of the time you won't be able to use them from Target.com. We have had one insert coupon from Target that was for carefree pantyliners. 1 cents. That coupon could be used at Walmart. Otherwise I don't think we've had another one.

If your familiar with the Walgreens ad...lots of the coupon in the ad can be used at Walmart because they have the price of the item in the coupon ...99 cents AJAX.

As for DG...I don't think most of them will work at Walmart. I think you will have the same problem as in Target that most of them look like a normal coupon ($1.00/1)..and not like Walgreens ad coupon (aka .99 ajax).

I was under the impression that walmart took one manuf q and one store q for one item. I was able to do this for a few weeks, so I thought that was the policy, but a supervisor told me that it was only One q. What is the actual policy? i've read in the policy part on walmart, but it doesnt specify.

There are only certain store Q's they take. The price of the item has to be in the Q.

    In other words.

    They would take

    ajax .99 cents

    BUT NOT....

    Palmolive .50 cents off.

The reason being is they are price matching or ad matching the coupon....so they are not really taking it like a regular coupon....like target does with Target Q's and then Manu q's.

So no it doesn't have to be either or...but most store q's will not be acceptable under the store policy. If you look at this thread ..esp the wiki...it will really help Walmarts Current Coupon Policy & Price Matching Policy 3/11/11

Thanks for responses! I think maybe I was over thinking or something. I'd looked at the wiki a dozen times and still wasn't getting it! LOL. Just wanted to be sure before I tried to use the wrong thing. Since shopping at walmart may be increasing after GE policy change. We'll see how that goes, though.

    Thanks again!

Thanks for responding, but I was actually trying to find out if walmart takes ONE manuf coupon and a (any) store coupon on ONE product like publix, for example will take some other store coupons other then theres AND one manuf coupon on one product.

They will not take ANY store coupon. They will only take specific store coupons and they ad match those specific store coupons that fall under the guidelines.

And yes they will take one store coupon..if it falls under the guidelines and one manu coupon for the same product.

But I cannot give you a blanket statement that for every product they will accept one store coupon and one manu coupon because they are extremely strict on there policy as to what store coupons they will accept. I need to you look over the guidelines of what store coupons they will accept so you understand which ones they will take.

If your looking for this: but I was actually trying to find out if walmart takes ONE manuf coupon and a (any) store coupon on ONE product like publix, for example Your not going to get it. It's way more complicated then that. Sorry. Please go read the Coupon Policy and Ad Match Policy so you understand what they will accept.
