If I don't need my binder, I also have current copies of the policies with me in my storage bag or envelope with coupons, etc. That way I am always professional and of course prepared.

You may wish to use a yellow highlighter and highlight the pertinent info regarding overages, coupons, etc. that you have had "issues" with at your stores.

Be prepared like the "Coupon Clipper Girl Scout" (or "Boy Scout) that you are--whatever the case may be--binder Case-It included! (Ha--Ha!!)

    Have fun--

I know the policy, but I live in a small town and the next closest Wal Mart is over an hour away-so I don't want to make the Wal Mart mad-so I didn't say anything.
This just happened to me yesterday!! I bought some A&D ointment and had $2 off coupon and she scanned it and it beeped! She immediately handed it back to me and said if it dont ring up then we dont have to take it!!! Theres no reason why it would have beeped but it did! I really needed the A&D so I had to buy it but I think there is gonna be a major policy change at walmart in the near future!!

hmm, there are similar cases reported in other boards so this doesn't look isolated now. IF, this is true, I dread to think we're back to the old WM shopping. I thought the lax, super generous coupon policy was going to last for a while but now, it seems it is about to fade.

OP and Pam0815, know that you're not alone. Others are reporting the same thing happened to them just recently

we just have to wait n see what happens next and if this spreads to more and more stores. may just prove, "some good things don't last".

Yea I have these miller lite coupons that are 3.00 dollar off 6.00 bucks worth of meat. Well I bought 6 in meat on each meat. They tried to tell me I couldn't use them had to tell them yes I can.

If an IP doesn't scan then I would say it is their call that they don't have to take it...however it it's obviously a insert and not scanning and it's the new barcode that's not scanning IMO they then need to type in the barcode number and/or push it through.

soon they may have to be typing in all barcodes if they can't get their scanners to work properly.

some are having success if the new barcode is folded a bit when scanned.

Thumbs Up Re: Did WM change their coupon policy?

I always carry updated policies for each store/retailer that I shop at, etc.

You can also have the cashier manually enter the barcode if it won't scan or cover the barcode with their hand, and scan or manually enter the other barcode. You may need an override for the coupon when entered manually from a CSM, etc.

    Good luck--
