WALMART $1/1 tide coupon issues

At the local walmarts (3 of them), the $1/1 Tide coupon (from the 7/31 P&G exp 8/31) beeps and prints out a journal stating "item has not been purchased", when I try to redeem them....and the CSM's refuse to take it because it "cant be used on trial size"...I've read over that coupon about 6 times and can't find any size limits on these.......anyone else having this problem? or did i just misread the coupon?

my walmart dont have the trial size anymore but yes you can use that coupon on the trail. It beeps becuase the coupon is more than the product is.

I have had the same problem....I even had a $1/1 off ANY Tide product rcvd in the mail and it wouldn't work the other night....I know that several people have had the same problem....If it doesn't say a size restriction tho, it seems like the CSM should override the little beep....

The $1/1 Tide coupon that comes inside the trial size pack of Tide hand-washable beeps every time you use it, even though our only store that sells it charges more than $1. Thankfully that store is coupon-friendly, so most of the clerks have been good about over-rides -- so far. It seems like P&G has all of the Tide coupons set to beep if you use them on trial sizes.
I've had the same message about "product not purchased" on Ortega canned chiles. Even though the coupon said good on "any," the cash register didn't consider chiles to be acceptable. Ran into the same problem at more than one store and had to leave them at the register when one clerk refused to accept the Q, even after reading it. I've noticed lately, Ortega is putting out separate coupons for chiles and other Ortega products.

The tide trial is not packaged by P&G any longer. Look at the back of it..it is packaged by a completely different company..thus it has a completely different UPC. So the register when the coupon is being scanned...is not able to match up the coupon UPC to the product UPC..which is why you are getting the journal.

Technically because Tide is not putting on the coupon (not good on trial)...it's should be okay..and walmart is okay to push it through...but good luck trying to explain that to them. I wouldn't push it or fight it with them for anything...for as much as they know...they probably don't think they will get paid for it.

P&G is being sneaky! If you can find old packages of Tide Trial...that have the old UPC they should still work.

The ortega coupons beep because they start with a 9. All coupons that start with a 9 will beep...and spit out the journal. Those ones are worth making them push it through.

So far I've purchased 2 of the Trial/Travel Tides and the checkers push them through. I hope to find more of those coupons since that's the only way I'll pay for Tide - if it's free. lol.

they did that at two stores in two diffrent towns and niether cashier would push it through. i wonder if target carries the trail size tide even if i have to pay change for it. the coupons are no good to me now. another problem im havring is the white cloud coupons. they say a dollar off and product excludes 4 roll tissue but whe i tried to buy the wipes they would beep and and they wouldnt push those through either.

I think you'll have similar issues with Target just from chatter about it beeping like crazy at Target as well. Worth a shot.

I never thought to use the white cloud Q on baby wipes.

When it beeps..what does it say? Does the journal spit out? Does it say it has exceeded the value??

When I used my 1.00/1 tides I bought 4 trial size & had 4 Qs, my first one beeped but my last 3 didn't. Thankfully my favorite cashier was working so I went to her when I bought these and she pushed them through.

Never thought of using the white cloud on the wipes either! Good idea! (:
