Suddenly can't use Cascade coupon

I tried to use 4 of them the other day, with a large order of other items also. 2 went through fine, and 2 beeped and DID spit out a journal. The cashier showed me the journal that said the coupon used did not match the item purchased, and asked me what she should do (apparently she was a floor associate and not a cashier and didn't have the slightest idea). I told her the products DO match and showed her, and said every cashier I've had so far has just pushed it through.

She checked with several other cashiers who told her to push it through, then checked with a CSM who told her the same. She wasn't terribly willing but did it anyway.

It was just odd that of the 4 I tried to use, 2 only beeped for valid amount and 2 spit the journal. Weird.

The cascade $1.00/1 off any don't start with a 9 correct? That's the only other reason that I can think of (and yes they should push it through).

sometimes weird stuff goes on with the journal. As long as it's on any and not a specified amount of cascade pack size or something along those lines...it should be fine.

Heck I think even the .50 cent ones that are mailers should work.

I used them, but at the walmart I go to the cascade is $1.09, so there isn't a problem. It does beep for the Tide coupon though, and they adjust the amount down to $.97 for me without issue.

They should NOT adjust any coupons at walmart any longer for new coupon ploicy from a few months back say they will now allow the overage on the coupons to be used toward other items in the basket. BUt if they MUST adjust the coupon then they need to write over the $1 and but in .97 for if they dont they will still get the $1..I made my walmart do this several times then they decided that I was write about the coupon not being adjust down to the price of the item.. Interesting. I dunno. All I know is that for the Tide they adjusted it down to $.97.

I am wondering if walmart has some policy changes going on or something....I have never had a problem with using coupons at any of my walmarts except the one furthur away from me...Now when I go they read everyone of my q's and if they say (which they all do lol) 1 coupon per purchase all the cashiers seem to think they have to ring everything up separately...I got 4 cascades and 4 sensodyne toothpastes the other day and had to stand there with a long line behing me while she rang every one up separately...I have been getting alot of fuss over my coupons lately at walmart...I dont use my coupons wrong ever!! My mom said a cashier told her that walmart got scammed out of thousands of dollars because of couponers:( Its just getting harder and harder for me to use my coupons and I have been couponing for 11 years and it has never been this hard!!!

I have used the cascade coupons and they beep every time but nobody has ever said a word, they just push them through.

Just curious... and I don't really shop Walmart too what is Da Journal? The couple of times I'd gone - forced SIL to use $3/2 J&J yeah, I's know - overage is hard, and it'd beeped... is this the same issue (Cascade) as what I'd faced with J&J?

The journal, Ev is the little reciept they print out everytime a coupon beeps.....atleast my Walmarts do this.

At my Walmart almost every coupon beeps now and asks the cashier something about check usage. Very few exceptions if any. I've had clerks try to tell me if it beeps, they cannot accept. Even though I can demonstrate I did indeed buy the exact product pictured on the coupon and fits the written description exactly. I ended up twice having them remove my transaction and taking my items up to the service desk when they did this. No trouble with them accepting the coupons there, but it meant waiting through being checked out again for me.

I used my Cascade coupons tonight just fine! The cashier scanned them, the question came up on the computer asking if the coupon really was for $1 and she typed in yes and it went thru just fine!!
