Quick Tip on Price Matching

Price Matching

1. You can PM at WM.
2. You do not need it, but is very helpful to bring the ad with you.
2a. It HAS to be a sale in an ad, they will not match an in store only sale.
3. All PMs must be exact same size, brand, etc.
4. You can PM store brand to WM's store brand, as long as the size is the same.
5. You can use a coupon with a PM
6. You can not match an online store, or walmart.com.

PMing with BOGO, %off, or other 'gimmick' sales:

You can NOT PM these.

UNLESS the actual price is listed. For example, when Walgreen's has a bogo sale it generally says something like:

Kraft Mac and Cheese, BOGO, but then in small print it will say 2/50c. You can NOT match as bogo, but CAN match as 1 for 25c. You may run into problems though, as it says bogo and such, but you do have leverage to argue for it.

They told me I have to have the Ad. Not that I care, I dont go there anymore lol.

A lot of them lately are saying that. I've always been told by my managers that it was WM's responsibility to supply the cashiers/CSMs the ads. I always try to bring the ad with me, just so it's not a pita for me.

My SWM only price matches grocery stores, not drugstores, office supply stores, or other mass merchandisers.

Go get the ad that is out now!! I don't have a hard copy, and finally they have an online version back up, but I can't zoom in to read, so if anyone has a hard copy and could put down exactly what it says, that would be cool.

Right on the top of the ad it says:

Unbeatable Prices in bold, in small black print to the right of it there's information on price matching.

For those of you having a hard time pming at your stores, get a copy of this, keep it with you when you want to pm there, and just say "well, this old ad I have says otherwise" when they give you a problem.

This might be a dumb question, but I have never tried to PM at Walmart. Why do you do that? If another store has it at a certain price, is it just for the convenience of going to WM? Or is it because some stores don't take q's?

For convenience, and also Walmart generally doesn't limit quantity that it will price match.

Today I pm'd half gallons of milk in there cause Kroger was waaaay out of the way, I didn't want to make another stop, and WM is in the same shopping center as Target, which I needed to go to. So, for me, it's convenience.

(20 minutes later we have convenience spelled right, ugh! lol)
