I don't buy my meat at walmart, but I would assume the price match for meat would be the same for price matching as long as it's the same (pound & cut, etc)
Has anyone tried it? Do you just find the exact cut of meat in WM?
I've done a little price matching at WM without a problem, but I'm super scared to try it with the meat!

Wow can u price match meat there? If anyone ever has I wish they would post here and tell us. Hot dogs etc...I can see but from the fresh meat dept?
I do it all the time.....woohoo, I just got back from Wallyworld and got ground beef (I'm trying to gain some weight) for $1.49lb. I just write down the price and tell the cashier where I found it. No biggie! Or, just take the ad in. If they don't sell the brand, then get their store brand!!! Woohoo, they even price match veggies, bread. I just got 4 cans of Great Value Pork/Beans for $1. Fiesta had them this week for their store brand....this is good if you are stockpiling for emergencies, if you know what I mean!

Yes you would find the exact cut of meat that is not name brand...however this is a YMMV. Walmart price matching generic or store brand meat, fruit, veggies, dairy, flour sugar and such is totally up to the manager.
It needs to be exactly the same cut, size, gallon, ect.
for meat...if it was $2.99 per lb...that would be what you would price match...and it would need to be the same cut.
Acceptable: Tip Sirloin to Tip Sirloin
Not Acceptable: chuck Steak to cube steak
Also for Hamburger IMO it needs to be the same fat content as well. and IMO they are going to want to price match rolls for rolls and patties for patties and mounds for mounds.
For Apples...it would be Fuji for Fuji. Gala for Gala. Idaho Potatoes for Idaho Potatoes. Roma Tomatoes for Roma Tomatoes. ect.

I PM boneless skinless chicken breasts recently. It was $1.49/lb @ Kmart for Tyson brand. WM carries that brand so it was pretty easy. To make it simpler I chose a package that was exactly 16oz and the cashier said she appreciated that. She said that it gets complicated when somebody brings up the 26 1/2 oz package because she has to use the calculator and do the math. lol
Oh tyson should be much easier..and shouldn't be a YMMV..that one falls under there price match policy (at least when you can find one the same size)!

The WM where I shop just charges you half the price marked on their package if it's a BOGO ad match. Those are the only meat PMs I would do @ WM...I don't generally buy meat there, but if it's half price, I'll figure out a way to use it! :)
