DD3 Back to School Supplies~~Walmart Style!

I thought it would be fun to have our own Back To School Wiki just for Walmart.

This will be an evolving Wiki and I need your help. At the moment I will be out of town and may not have time to go run and write down items and prices of back to school items so if anyone see's stuff or picks up items please ad.

As prices go up or down, lets change the prices in the wiki....highlight in RED when we think they've hit rock bottom.

Be sure to look through clearance too sometimes some fun stuff is there.

Also I know for my kids cheap is good for some things/quality is important for other stuff. I don't want the cheapest xyz item sometimes because I know it will break 2 seconds later, so if quality is important on something (like a backpack) lets point those deals out! Also I like to get fun folders and such for them, so lets help point out the fun stuff too!

They have FINALLY put on clearance backpacks that they have had from last year. These are laptop backpacks that are very nice quality. Not cheapy ones. They were first priced for $40. They have girl and boy colors but nothing that are cartoon like...they could be used for any age. They are now $14.88!! I found them near the Back to School stuff.

We can point out here as well if certain stores have an ad that will be helpful to ad match as well.

Lets not put the ad matches on the wiki...just leave them here in the regular replies.

Okay I have updated the wiki...with a lot of the name brand school supplies.

What other things are we needing to purchase this year? I can make another run today to walmart to do more price checking.

I'd love to know the prices for watercolor paints, also things like glitter/sequins/sparkly stuff or anything you'd use to decorate seasonal cutouts...for instance my son's 4K teacher sends home, say, a giant pumpkin at Halloween to cut out and decorate and bring back. Big tree at Christmas, heart at Valentine's, etc. Anything to decorate stuff like that...

I've never had to buy back to school supplies before...so I don't even know if they put stuff like that on sale this time of year.

I just checked the walgreens ad for this next week and I didn't see anything that would be worth price matching. Either wrong name brand/wrong amount or walmart was already cheaper.

If anyone can check tomorrow's Target ad and similar that would be fabulous!!!

I think the Papermate mechanical pencils for .19 at Wags would be worth price matching. But other than that ITA. I also think Walmart is higher this year than in years past. Will they come down some before school? I know I have usually gotten the best deals around this time of the year before.

In my defense, I will only bid human beings in the auction forum if it's a MM.

    I didn't see them...bwahahahaha

I don't know the price but I betcha walgreens will be cheaper. I'll go check on that too. My kids lists always say you can't get the mechanical ones. Does Walmart have 5 packs?

My "gut" tells me some things will drop in price maybe in two weeks. It might depend on when school starts as well. Out here it starts the Thursday before Labor Day.

Yesterday I purchased a few of the folders and note books...that had to be a specific color because I don't want to be prancing around to different stores trying to find a yellow one (BTDT) and I like to get my kids some fun note books and folders so I don't mind spending a couple of extra bucks all together to get something with a little personality on it, and if you wait too long, all that is left is the boring stuff, or icarly...blech.

If I have a chance I'll grab the FD and DG ads as well.

Has anyone seen any cool pencil boxes? I really hate getting the walmart/DG/FD ones. I want something that will last...but my choices are really limited out here..but I can send DH to stores out in Arkansas where he lives.

I found last year's lunchboxes on clearance today for $2.00! We bought the How To Train Your Dragon lunchbox after school started last year and paid $7.00. The clearance one I found today was the same one. DS's lunch box held up all year last year, so I thought it was pretty decent quality.

    Lisa Frank Lunch Purse
Marvel Comics "Lunch Kit" (nothing inside, just lunch box)
    How To Train Your Dragon
    Spiderman
Generic neoprene-like lunch purses and totes were $1.00 to $2.00
